Media Mayhem FILMS

Today we are up for 3 films, just like yesterday this is not a list of my all time top 3 films, just films I put in the group "Favourites"

I think if I were to do this post again in a months time, I would end up choosing 3 different films entirely, but right here, right now these are the ones on my mind.

Most Tom Cruise films are based on the same plot : He begins as an overconfident, loud, lady's man. Then he makes some mistakes and is humbled, almost to breaking point. Finally with the help a women who sees his potential, he rebuilds himself as a better man. So I could at this point choose Top Gun, Days of Thunder, Cocktail or numerous others The story is all the same just different props. But the film I am choosing is, Jerry Maguire and I made a classic find on YouTube today. This has to be the best compilation video for the film ever?

If you haven't sung at the top of your voice driving, you haven't lived !!

" You had me at hello"

Movie number 2 is completely different ... Sixth Sense ... Bruce Willis shows he can make it through a film and not strip to his vest. I've chosen this film because it has such a clever twist. As the main character reflects at the end, you realise just how obvious the twist was, but how easily you missed it. Everyone I know that has seen this, seems to have the classic, hairs on your neck tingle effect, in the closing moments.

"I see dead people"

Last film in the set is Its a Wonderful life, its old, its black and white, but its timeless. This gets put on every Christmas and every year the kids moan its old and its black and white, but they always want to watch to the end if they see the beginning. Its a classic tale of looking beyond materialism, valuing family and friends. The message also reminds us we all have a value and purpose.

"Remember, no man is a failure who has friends"

Reading through the posts made by other participants of this weekend, I hope I am right in sensing you have all enjoyed pondering your choices as much as I have. Perhaps you have been brought to remembrance of a song or film you have not thought of for a while? The idea of the weekend was two fold. First to expose a little of yourself to let others get to know you better. Second to give a chance to ponder something you might not normally, even if it was just how to pick 3 from an endless list  ! Enjoy your day...
