H is for Home

What makes a house a Home ??

What is a Home ??

Is it where your loved ones are... what if you live alone?

Is it where your bed is.. what if you you are on holiday?

Is it where your treasure is... what if you have nothing?

Is it just different for everyone

The answer to that is,
It's a haven where you can do your own thing.
Its the place where all your memories are.
Its a place you can decorate to your own style, good or bad, but its yours
Its an anchor to return to.
Treasure what is that without someone to share it with!.

I actually don't know. Sometimes I feel as if home is the next place I'm headed to. :-)

If you're truly at home in your own skin, you can feel at home, no matter where you are. But being with people you care about and who know and love you, warts and all, makes home a sanctuary.

Home is where my family is - if they're there, then I'm home. :D

Yes, where is home? It's where you lie your head at night. The homeless, for example, have no physical home save for where they may find shelter. Their treasure is what they are able to scrounge up for the day to survive. Their beds are what they can manage to bring them a place to separate them from the ground.

Yep, home, treasure et al is dependent on an individual and their respective status.

For me it really is wherever my loved ones are. Since my youth I've moved quite a lot and, though I always miss my extended family and country, as long as I have those closest to me, I don't feel lost.

Nice post

After much consideration (possibly too much!) I feel that my 'home' is the same as Alex's definition.

A nice, thought-provoking post :)

Interesting comments, much better than I would come up with. The way it should be the comments make the post !

Stopping by from the Challenge.

I sometimes think of moving to a smaller place, but home is where my life story is written and, I hope, where it will end.
